Amanda is a 3rd-grade teacher and author of Saplings: Snapshots of a Season Never Meant to last, a book of poetry about life's fleeting seasons. In 2010, Amanda was diagnosed with OCD and spent the past 12 years with a front-row seat to how the disease manifests, evolves, and impacts relationships with others and with self. When not working or writing, Amanda can usually be found reading a thriller, watching a comedy, spending time with friends and family, or outside kayaking, hiking, or camping.
